In this crash course, the library is reconstructed in its original sense: as a communication space in which communication takes place according to certain rules, resulting in an accumulation of texts that refer to each other (hypertext). I refer to a hypertext library as a virtual library on the Internet. The communication that leads to the hypertext library is called hypercommunication. This course is therefore about an operative understanding of a library understood as a communication process. The Internet is understood as a medium of a learning and research process in the sense of the medieval Universitas, which provides a very independent interpretation of "e-learning".

A library is no more a bookcase than a discotheque is a record rack. The library is the place where texts and their organisation are developed discursively and collaboratively. The library is the place of written dialogue. (Note to the picture)
